Since everyone else is afraid to admit it, here goes:

MC Hammer - You Can't Touch This
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMzoBkaFxh4
Gregg can verify, I had wicked dance skills in school, many a circle surround me at school dances.

DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince - Parents Just Don't Understand
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-O4sSZc2WCU
Really bad video, but Will Smith was the king of storytelling in hip hop at the time. He also had the baddest DJ on the Planet!

Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg - Nuthin' But a G Thang
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEMmbtcxbpc
By now if you have not guessed, yes I am black.

One Love.

Metallica - "One"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwW9L_qzqp8
Not in a good way, but definitely left a mark. When they were cool, before they sold out.

Culture Club - "Karma Chameleon"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3u3HQtv61M
Also not in a good way because I clearly sat through it several times before realizing the chick singing was a dude. Small town...

Stray Cats - "Stray Cat Strut"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGg3_T_FcOQ
A song I still listen to quite often, just a cool song and the video was pretty good too. Simple, old school.

I did not steal dance moves from the following videos, since my dancing days were pretty bad, but the following videos, and many other music videos not mentioned, did leave an impression:
Van Halen "Hot For Teacher"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=b5t5GukrWOU
How could you not like Van Halen videos when they made their debut on MTV (or anything by David Lee Roth - the videos were just what every high school male wanted to see, bikini clad women dancing for the camera) -

Dire Straits "Money For Nothing"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=aNaKWXqXkhw
The animation, considered very cool at the time, made it different. Knopfler on guitar and Sting singing background vocals made the video a classic.

Peter Gabriel "Sledgehammer"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=hqyc37aOqT0
Another use of animation that made the video memorable. The song may not have been one of my favorite Peter Gabriel songs, but the video was different compared to other music videos released during the same time.

Sorry, one more honorable mention -

Robert Palmer "Addicted to Love"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=F0U5JfGYx4c
Yes, it was considered by many a cliche video, but it is still copied by many videos/movies today. The red lips and short black dresses never leave your mind.

Another hot chick from the 80's but the thing that makes this video totaly rad is Captain Lou Albano. Anyone that has the first name Captain has to be cool.

I know she wanted to have sex with me. The good thing about this video is that even though she is now like 70 years old, she is still hot. Thank god for lube...
